TBillLab

TBillLab — official notice

Disclaimer

Every number this site produces is illustrative arithmetic performed on inputs you supply. That is the entire product, and this page explains what that means for how the results may and may not be used.

Not investment advice

TBillLab does not provide investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and no page on this site constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. The calculators have no knowledge of your finances, your tax situation, your time horizons, or your risk tolerance, and a tool that knows nothing about you cannot advise you. Decisions about Treasury securities deserve the involvement of a qualified professional who can see your whole picture.

Illustrative math, not market prices

The site deliberately quotes no market yields, prices, or auction levels. Worked examples use invented inputs and say so. When your broker, the official auction results, and this site disagree about a number, trust the first two: this site's role is to explain the relationships between the numbers, not to supply them.

No professional relationship

Using the calculators, reading the explanations, or contacting the editors does not create an advisory, fiduciary, or client relationship of any kind.

Tax treatment is described, not computed

Pages may note that bill discounts are generally subject to federal income tax and exempt from most state income taxes. That is a description of typical treatment for orientation only — it is not a computation of your tax result, and individual circumstances, filings, and jurisdictions vary. Confirm your situation with a tax professional.

Errors and corrections

Formulas are checked before publication, but any reference can contain errors. If a figure or formula looks wrong, the contact page lists a direct address; verified corrections are applied and acknowledged.

Limitation

Your use of this site is governed by the Terms of Use, which limit the site's liability. By using the calculators you accept both this disclaimer and those terms.

Read together with the Terms of Use before relying on any result.
